Previously, the Austrian authorities have announced that the minimum wage and supplements defined in the Austrian Collective Agreement of the freight transport industry’ will be increased by 4.96% from 1st of January 2022. At the same time, the collective agreement wages, and supplements for employees in the small transport industry will be increased by 4.5 percent as of January 1, 2022.

Daily allowance
Daily allowances are granted as compensation for the increased cost of living when driving or providing services outside the place of work (business premises, factory premises, warehouse, etc.).
The place of employment (business premises, factory premises, warehouse, etc.) is the place (address) at which the employee is registered for social security. The daily allowance is € 26.40 per calendar day.
If the driving activity or absence from the place of work lasts more than three hours, 1/12 of the daily allowance is due for each hour or part thereof; no daily allowance is due for up to three hours of driving or absence from the place of work.
A maximum of 1 daily rate is due for each calendar day.
